My Untouchable Face

The effortless nature of the unreliable narrator

I eat you in my sleep
Suck babylon between my teeth
Make wave and froth
In your crease

I do not fear
As you lift, all hair and flaming smile
To cover my root and swallow
The tree whose branches
Hold the sun

Each time you
Take me in, I find a new word
For light
